Government Spending & Debt

With our national debt over $30 trillion, our spending is a national disgrace. Our debt is a moral failure. Reckless spending today leaves our children and grandchildren holding a crushing tab. Let’s call this problem what it is: generational theft.

The debt is also a national security problem. This out-of-control spending has left our country drifting in frightening fiscal waters – our economic hull in questionable condition. Our situation is precarious. Tyler recognizes this problem and will act with a sense of urgency to correct this course.

Free markets and economic mobility are the engines of innovation and entrepreneurship. Tyler will passionately support efforts to cut unnecessary spending, reduce and simplify taxes, and provide regulatory relief for Colorado businesses. These efforts are needed to spur economic growth and job creation.

National Security & Defense

As outlined by the Constitution, Congress’s paramount responsibility is to provide for the national security of the United States. Tyler Allcorn loves this country and has a proven willingness to risk everything for its defense. As a former Green Beret, he knows what it’s like to say goodbye to his family and deploy to a combat zone, putting his life on the line for our liberty. We need to increase our defense force capabilities and cyber defense to ensure that America’s enemies never reach our shores. As your next Congressman, he will fight to make sure that our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to continue to keep us safe.

Immigration

As an immigrant himself, this issue is personal to Tyler. Tyler’s family is originally from Canada, and the oil and gas industry was their ticket to the American Dream. Tyler knows what it’s like to immigrate to a new country and face challenges in a new environment. He loved this country so much that he decided to enlist in the US Army and became an elite Special Forces Green Beret. He also understands that any immigration policy we have must be firmly rooted in law, not a spirit of lawlessness. Immigration policy begins with securing the border, enforcing the law, and tracking visa holders and guest workers. Any aspiring immigrants must go through the proper channels and immigrate the legal way, not cut to the front of the line. Not only is this the legal way, it’s the right way.

Energy

Weld County is the number one oil-producing county in the state. The oil and natural gas industry is one of the biggest employers in Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District. Tyler is proud to support the men and women who work in this sector. Tyler believes that clean energy is important, and the oil and gas industry has come a long way in making sure that their carbon footprint has been greatly reduced. Tyler believes that American energy independence is critical and should be free of improper administrative overreach. Colorado’s energy industry plays a vital role in keeping America’s economy competitive and our country free from unwelcome pressure abroad.

Life

Tyler and his wife are strong Christians and believe in the sanctity of life and the unborn. Taxpayer money should never be used to subsidize abortions.

The leak from the Supreme Court is a liberal stunt that threatens the independence of an entire branch of government while also trying to distract from Democrats’ failures on our economy, crime, and the crisis at the border.

Tyler is pro-life and will fight to protect the unborn from radicals like Yadira Caraveo, who don’t believe in any restrictions on abortions and recently voted to put Colorado law on par with China and North Korea when it comes to the issue of life. As a former Army Special Forces Green Beret, Tyler has spent much of his life fighting for those who are unable to fight for themselves, and it will be no different on the issue of life.

Law Enforcement

Our law enforcement officials go out every day and put their lives on the line to make sure we can sleep well at night. The recent attacks and denigration of our officers is completely unacceptable and should never be tolerated under any circumstances. The radical left has burned down police precincts and physically assaulted officers in a bid to tear this country apart. As your next Congressman, I will be proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our police officers and will sponsor legislation to make sure they have the tools, equipment, and resources they need to get the job done.

2nd Amendment

Tyler is a supporter of the Second Amendment and believes that Americans have the right to keep and bear arms. Passing laws that restrict firearm usage will only affect law-abiding citizens. Criminals will ignore these laws, and good people will suffer.

Education

Tyler understands the importance of education and believes that the decisions are best left to the local level. Students need to develop the knowledge and skillset to be able to think on their own terms and be productive members of society.

Unfortunately, critical race theory has recently barnstormed into our schools and seeks to divide our kids by race and ethnicity. This is wrong, and as your next Congressman, Tyler will fight racism every step of the way. Political indoctrination has no place in our classrooms.

Agriculture

Agriculture is an important part of the economy here in Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District. Weld County is one of the richest agricultural counties in the United States and the richest east of the Rocky Mountains. It is a leader in cattle, grain, and sugar beets. We need to stand up to countries like China that have implemented unfair trade practices and have hurt the ability of our farmers to get their products from the field to the table. Tyler will fight to make sure that Colorado’s farmers always have a voice and an advocate in Congress and someone who will fight for them against the out-of-control regulations of our own government.

Term Limits

Tyler believes that term limits are one of the most important safeguards that a republic can have. Term limits are an issue that Tyler will fight for and he supports enacting a Constitutional Amendment which limits the number of terms anyone can serve. Career politicians have caused enough trouble in Washington and this will help reduce some of the problems we face as a country.

Veterans

America’s military veterans sacrificially served to defend the United States. Now, the United States has an obligation to serve them – we must provide them with the care that adequately honors their sacrifice. It’s already hard enough for veterans to return home and readjust. We don’t need to compound their challenges by forcing them into a VA system that provides poor care with an outdated bureaucracy. We need to expand healthcare choices for our warriors by allowing them to choose the healthcare provider they want which will give them the opportunity to enhance their own care while increasing competition and decreasing costs. As a veteran himself, Tyler is committed to fighting for our veterans and making sure they have the proper care that honors their service.

Tax Reform

America’s tax system is beyond broken, totally dysfunctional, and a deterrent to job creation. Tyler will be a leader on this issue and supports overhauling our tax code. Our tax code should be made simple and easy to understand. It shouldn’t require a legion of accountants and tax professionals for a couple to file their tax returns. Our current tax structure is a barrier to growth, and Tyler won’t rest until our tax rates are lowered, and our tax code is simplified.

Seniors

Medicare and Social Security are vital components of the social contract that the government has with its citizens. Seniors have paid into these programs their entire lives and shouldn’t have to worry about the solvency of these programs and wonder if they’re going to have to go back to work. Rest assured that Tyler will vote against any changes that will cut funding to these important programs. In fact, he will vote to strengthen them and fight to cut waste and abuse by the bureaucracies that run them.

Healthcare

For too long, healthcare costs have been skyrocketing out of control, and Colorado families have suffered. We need to deliver patient-centered solutions that offer real solutions and less partisan divide. We need to fix the current system by ending the hidden costs that often surprise patients when they get their bills, and lowering the cost of copayments, deductibles, and prescription drugs. We have to take on Big Pharma to put a stop to out-of-control prescription drug prices that affect our quality of life. We need to open up state lines so patients can have more options in the marketplace and choose a health plan that best suits their needs. Tyler is committed to taking this fight to the halls of Congress because delivering affordable healthcare is long past due.

Infrastructure

Our crumbling roads and bridges here in Colorado are a major concern, and we need to do more to make sure that our infrastructure is open for business. Unfortunately, Biden’s irresponsible $1.1 trillion so-called infrastructure bill is not what we need to make a proper investment in our roads and infrastructure. This bill is nothing but a far-left spending spree that throws taxpayer money at electric buses and weed control. Americans want real solutions, and this is not it. As your next Congressman, I will vote against any bill that commits to frivolous spending like this and will support legislation that addresses the needs of our crumbling infrastructure to ensure the strength of our roads and bridges.
